below is a script I
adapted for a customer to allow access to a page for people with the
password. because it is JavaScript it is fairly easy to get by
if you really want to so do not protect anything really secret behind
it.
you are free to use this
script on your own site as long as you leave the accreditations in.
this script will give
three chances to put the right code in and will send you to the
correct page when you get it right. at present there is the
facility for two passwords but you could add as many as you wanted.
paste the script below
into the <head> of your entry page.
insert this form button on the page to
activate the password dialogue.
and save the code below as "bridget.js"
and publish to the internet.
